Wisconsin Agri-Business Association Names First Future Ag Leader Scholarship Recipients

The annual scholarship was created to recognize students who demonstrate leadership potential, academic achievement, and a strong commitment to the future of Wisconsin’s agricultural industry. WABA officials said the program reflects the organization’s goal of investing in the next generation of professionals who will help guide and strengthen the state’s ag economy.

Recipients were selected based on their educational goals, involvement in agriculture-related activities, and interest in careers such as agronomy, agribusiness management, animal science, agricultural education, and related fields. The scholarship is open to students enrolled in postsecondary programs who plan to work in Wisconsin’s diverse agriculture sector.

WABA leaders noted that the demand for skilled and innovative agricultural professionals continues to grow as the industry adapts to changing markets, technology, and sustainability practices. Supporting students through scholarships is one way the association hopes to encourage long-term leadership and workforce development.
