Tellier received the honor on Thursday, March 27, from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), an international organization that promotes high standards of education, training, and professionalism among municipal clerks worldwide.
The MMC designation is awarded to clerks who demonstrate a strong commitment to their profession through years of service, continuing education, and contributions to local government. Candidates must complete rigorous coursework, participate in professional development programs, and meet strict experience requirements before earning the designation.
Village officials praised Tellier’s dedication to public service, noting that her leadership and attention to detail play a vital role in the daily operations of the Village of Theresa. As Clerk-Treasurer, Tellier oversees municipal records, elections, financial administration, and serves as a key resource for both residents and elected officials.
Tellier said the designation reflects not only her personal efforts, but also the support of colleagues and the village leadership. She emphasized the importance of ongoing education in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness in local government.
The achievement places Tellier among a select group of municipal clerks nationwide who have attained the MMC designation, bringing added expertise and recognition to the Village of Theresa.
