St. Stephen Lutheran School Earns National Accreditation

On Saturday, Sept. 27, Dennis Gehrke, Interim Education Executive of the South Wisconsin District of Lutheran Schools – LCMS, formally presented accreditation to St. Stephen Lutheran School and Principal Stacey during a special recognition.

National Lutheran School Accreditation is a rigorous process that evaluates a school’s academic programs, governance, faculty qualifications, faith-based instruction, and commitment to continuous improvement. School leaders said the achievement reflects years of dedication by staff, students, families, and congregation members.

Principal Stacey noted that the accreditation affirms the school’s mission of providing Christ-centered education while maintaining high academic standards. “This recognition confirms the quality of education we provide and our commitment to nurturing both faith and learning,” she said.

Accreditation also places St. Stephen among a network of nationally recognized Lutheran schools, ensuring accountability and opening opportunities for collaboration and shared resources across the LCMS education system.

School officials expressed gratitude to faculty and families for their support throughout the accreditation process and said the school looks forward to building on this achievement in the years ahead.
