The new facility represents a significant expansion of St. John’s mission to support children, youth, and families through faith-based education, care, and community connection. Designed to serve a wide range of ages, the Childcare and Youth Center offers safe, welcoming spaces for learning, play, and spiritual growth.
Church leaders said the project was developed in response to growing community needs for quality childcare and structured youth programming. The center includes classrooms for early childhood education, flexible areas for youth activities, and updated facilities intended to support both daily programming and special events.
“This center is about more than a building,” organizers said. “It’s about investing in families and providing a place where children and young people can learn, grow, and feel supported.”
The open house will give visitors an opportunity to tour the facility, meet staff and volunteers, and learn more about available programs. Community members are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and see firsthand how the new center will serve families in Mayville and the surrounding area.
St. John’s Lutheran Church and School emphasized that the center aligns with its long-standing commitment to education, outreach, and ministry. Leaders expressed gratitude to donors, volunteers, and supporters who helped bring the project to completion.
The open house is open to the public, and families considering childcare or youth programs are especially encouraged to attend. Additional information about enrollment, programming, and upcoming activities will be available during the event.
