Mayville Moves Forward with Plan to Market River Knoll Industrial Park Property

During its regular meeting on Monday, May 12, the council approved a project proposal for land brokerage services from American Commercial Real Estate. The firm’s president, Adam Williquette, presented details outlining how the property would be marketed to prospective buyers.

City officials said the intent is to attract development that aligns with Mayville’s long-term economic goals, including job creation and expansion of the local tax base. The River Knoll Industrial Park is positioned to appeal to businesses seeking industrial or commercial space with access to existing infrastructure.

Williquette explained that American Commercial Real Estate will assist with marketing strategy, outreach to potential buyers, and negotiations throughout the sales process. Council members discussed the importance of ensuring that any future development complements surrounding land uses and supports the city’s broader planning objectives.

Officials emphasized that approving brokerage services does not finalize a sale but allows the city to begin actively marketing the property and evaluating proposals as interest develops. Any final land sale would require additional council approval.

The City of Mayville continues to explore opportunities to responsibly develop available land while balancing economic growth with community needs. Updates on the River Knoll Industrial Park marketing process will be shared as they become available.
