Mayville Girls Battle Through Tough Week, Absorb First Conference Setback

Mayville’s Flyway Conference debut came Tuesday night with a 66–46 loss to Omro. The setback marked the Cardinals’ first loss of the season and dropped them to 3–1 overall, following an encouraging start through non-conference play.

Omro set the tempo early, using defensive pressure and efficient scoring to establish control. Mayville worked to stay within striking distance, showing flashes of offensive rhythm and defensive intensity, but struggled to consistently answer Omro’s runs as the game wore on.
