The Lomira/Theresa 19U Legion baseball team is headed back to the state stage with a chance to defend its title, earning a decisive victory on July 28 to punch its ticket to the Wisconsin American Legion Baseball Association Class A State Tournament.

In the second game of the evening, Lomira/Theresa pulled away late to defeat Horicon 8–4, securing advancement to the 37th Annual Class A State Tournament, scheduled for August 1–5 in Westby.

After a tightly contested start, Lomira/Theresa’s offense found its rhythm, producing timely hits and capitalizing on scoring opportunities to build separation. Strong pitching and steady defense helped the team maintain control down the stretch, closing out the win and keeping its championship hopes alive.

The state berth continues a successful run for the program, which now returns to the tournament with an opportunity to defend last season’s championship. The team’s blend of experience, depth, and postseason poise has proven effective throughout the Legion schedule.
