Racing on a rain-soaked course, the Lions totaled 46 points to secure the team championship, separating themselves from a strong field with disciplined pack running and toughness over the challenging terrain.

“On a wet and muddy Ripon course, the Lomira girls’ cross country team rose to the challenge and claimed the team title,” head coach Tyler Witkowski said.

Lomira runners stayed composed despite slippery footing, maintaining strong positioning throughout the race and closing well to lock up the victory. The win adds another highlight to an already successful early season for the girls program.

On the boys’ side, Lomira finished ninth overall with 229 points. While conditions made for a demanding race, the boys gained valuable experience competing against a deep field and navigating one of the tougher courses on the schedule.
