The Lomira girls cross country team turned in another strong performance on Sept. 12, finishing third in a deep and competitive field at the Mike Hurlburt Invite in Mayville.

Racing against programs from across the region, the Lions scored 81 points to secure a spot on the podium. Lomira’s success came from balanced pack running and steady pacing throughout the course, allowing the team to remain competitive against larger and well-established programs.

On the boys’ side, Lomira finished 12th with 320 points. While the result did not match the girls’ podium finish, the race provided valuable experience for the boys as they continue to develop and prepare for the heart of the season.
