The Lomira girls cross country team continued its strong late-season form on Sept. 25, delivering a dominant performance to capture first place at the Horicon River Run.

Racing at River Bend Park, the Lions totaled 55 points to secure the team championship, separating themselves from the field with consistent pack running and strong finishes across the lineup. Lomira controlled the meet from the early stages, maintaining tight groupings and closing well to lock up the win.

The boys’ team also competed in the invitational, finishing 18th overall with 314 points. While the result did not match the girls’ podium finish, the race provided valuable experience against a large field as the boys continue to develop through the heart of the season.
