Carlie Priesgen, Whitney Witkowski, Ivy Schulz, and Dawson Doyle represented Lomira on the sectional stage, each earning the opportunity after strong performances throughout the postseason. The quartet embraced the challenge of competing at one of the most competitive meets of the year.
Priesgen led the way for the Lions, turning in a pair of top-10 finishes in the throwing events. She placed among the sectional’s best in both the shot put and discus, capping off a season marked by steady improvement and consistency in the ring.
Witkowski also delivered a notable performance, finishing inside the top 10 in the grueling 3,200-meter run. Her race reflected both endurance and determination, as she battled through a deep field of distance runners.
Schulz and Doyle rounded out Lomira’s contingent, gaining valuable experience against elite competition and contributing to a sectional appearance that underscored the program’s depth and commitment.
While none of the Lions advanced beyond the sectional round, the meet served as a fitting conclusion to the season. With strong individual showings and a foundation of young talent, Lomira track and field looks poised to build on this experience in the years ahead.
