The ceremony took place Tuesday, Jan. 28, marking a new chapter in Stocks’ law enforcement career. City officials and community members in attendance recognized his service, professionalism, and commitment to public safety, particularly his work with students and staff in the local school system.
Stocks has served as a visible and trusted presence in Horicon schools, where his role extended beyond security to mentorship and community engagement. City leaders noted that his experience working closely with youth and families will continue to be an asset in his expanded leadership role.
Officials with the Horicon Police Department said the promotion reflects Stocks’ dedication, leadership skills, and readiness to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
As a newly appointed sergeant, Stocks will assume supervisory duties while continuing to support the department’s mission of community-focused policing across Horicon.
