The Marshmen controlled the meet from the opening mile, using tight pack running and strong finishes to separate themselves from the field and secure the team title. Horicon’s depth proved decisive, as multiple runners finished near the front to keep the scoring gap wide.
Horicon’s girls team also competed under challenging conditions, battling high temperatures throughout the race. Despite the heat, the Marshladies turned in determined efforts and gained valuable experience against quality competition.
In addition to the high school races, Horicon’s middle school runners were in action as well, showing grit and enthusiasm while gaining exposure to a competitive invitational atmosphere. Coaches praised the effort across all levels, pointing to toughness and teamwork as key positives from the day.
