In his monthly report, Mayor Rob Boelk announced that the city will begin the update process by conducting a community survey later this month. The survey is designed to gather resident feedback on key topics such as housing, transportation, land use, economic development, parks, and city services.

Mayor Boelk emphasized that public participation is a critical component of the comprehensive planning process. “This plan helps shape how Mayville grows and changes over the next several decades,” he said. “Input from residents ensures that future decisions reflect the community’s needs and priorities.”

A comprehensive plan serves as a framework for zoning decisions, infrastructure improvements, and long-term policy development. City officials said the update will evaluate current conditions, review past goals, and identify new opportunities to strengthen neighborhoods and support sustainable development.

In addition to the survey, residents can expect opportunities to participate in public meetings or workshops as the planning process continues. City leaders said updates on timelines and engagement opportunities will be shared through official communication channels.

Community members are encouraged to take part in the survey when it becomes available and to stay involved throughout the planning process as Mayville looks ahead to its future.
