The group opened the season at New London Singstock on Saturday, Jan. 18, marking the beginning of a busy schedule filled with competitions and performances across the state. Singstock is one of Wisconsin’s well-known show choir events, bringing together talented ensembles for a full day of music, choreography, and showmanship.
This year’s Cardinal Singers set features a dynamic mix of music, high-energy choreography, and polished vocals designed to showcase the students’ versatility and teamwork. Members of the group have spent months preparing, dedicating time after school and on weekends to rehearsals focused on precision, expression, and stage presence.
The Mayville Music Department praised the students’ commitment and enthusiasm, noting that show choir provides valuable opportunities for performers to build confidence, discipline, and collaboration skills while representing their school and community.
Throughout the season, the Cardinal Singers will travel to additional competitions and host performances locally, giving community members multiple chances to support the group. Directors say the season is about more than trophies—it’s about growth, creativity, and sharing music with audiences.
With their first performance complete and momentum building, the Cardinal Singers are ready to bring their energy and talent to stages throughout the region as the show choir season continues.
