Bradford Ney Appointed New Director of Mayville Public Library

Ney, a Wisconsin native, brings a diverse educational and professional background to the role. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Library Science, a combination that library leaders say positions him well to manage both the operational and community-focused aspects of the library.

Library officials noted that Ney’s experience includes work in public library settings, where he has focused on patron services, collection development, and community engagement. His background in business administration is expected to support effective budgeting, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

“I’m excited to join the Mayville community and work with the library staff, board, and residents,” Ney said. “Public libraries play a vital role as welcoming spaces for learning, connection, and access to information, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place.”

The Ted & Grace Bachhuber Memorial Library serves as a hub for educational programming, literacy initiatives, and community events. Library board members expressed confidence that Ney’s leadership will help expand services while continuing to meet the evolving needs of patrons of all ages.

Ney officially stepped into the director role earlier this month and has begun meeting with staff and community partners to learn more about local priorities and ongoing initiatives.
